Sir Francis Chichester week end
I don't have a lot of information on that regatta. On June 1 you will sail on the Alameda lagoon (not sure where it is) June 2 is the Alameda Circum-Navigation. I am told that the bridge (s?) is pretty low so you have to capsize to go under (?). Ask around.

This is one day regatta. Park on the concrete parking near the launch. The Yacht Club is next to that, on the water (go down the steps from the main pier). You must buy parking for the day from the metering machines. Watch out or you will get a ticket from the City. There is no shower nor a water hose to clean your gear. The water is full of sea lions, and they don't seem dangerous. Watch for kelp…

This regatta is everybody's favorite (ask Marcel and Chris, they LOVE it). The venue is gorgeous, a lake surrounded by mountains, set a 7,200 ft. The water is cool, but not as cold as the Bay area.
